A 14 Bore Percussion Side by Side Shotgun by J. Purdey of 314 1/2 Oxford Street, London. Having 75cm damascus barrels. Signed on the top flat J. Purdey, 314 1/2 Oxford Street London. Barrels are stamped underneath with JP. Locks signed Purdey, also engraved. Engraved hammers, top tang, trigger guard, butt plate, stocked in a very nice piece of walnut, chequered at wrist with a vacant escutcheon. Overall length 117cm.

In its case lined in green with the makers label, having a powder flask, a shot flask, screwdriver, and spring clamp, together with a mould with it being for both shot and ball. Double shot container, Joyces percussion caps. Two part cleaning rod, with cleaning ends.
