A 12 Bore Percussion Side by Side Shotgun by J. Purdey of 4 Princes Street, Leicester Square, London. Having twist barrels, 75cm, signed in full on the top flat J. Purdey Princes Street Leicester Square London. With it being an early gun, it has got a Charles Lancaster stamp on the barrel. Early engraving on the lock, hammer, trigger guard, butt plate, and top tang. Overall length 115cm.

Early engraving on the lock, hammer, trigger guard, butt plate, and top tang.
Stocked in a very nice piece of walnut, chequered at wrist with a vacant escutcheon. In its original case, lined in green cloth with accessories including powder flask, shot belt, spring clamp, cleaning rod in two parts, original F Joyces percussion cap tin, spare nipples container, nipple key and a cleaning attachment for the rods. With this gun being for both shot and ball, there is a ball mould as well. Overall length 115cm.
