A Pair Of 28 Bore Flintlock Boxlock Pocket Pistols By H.Mortimer, Circa 1775-8, with brass turn-off barrels engraved with a band around the breeches and one numbered 1, finely engraved box-lock actions, decorated with trophies-of-arms and rococo flowers carrying ovals, signed on the left and inscribed London on the right, engraved tangs, flat-sided figured walnut butts, and sliding iron trigger-guard safety-catches also locking the steels and decorated with bouquets on the bows. Barrel length 6cm, overall length 18.5cm.
