A pair of Austrian 28 bore flintlock rifled pistols with two stage sighted barrels, each brightly etched with imitation Damascus twist pattern, and rifled with seven grooves. Plain tangs, each with back sight, bright, flat bevelled locks with blue faceted pans, cock retaining screws, jaw screws, steel springs, finial incomplete. Figured, moulded full stocks marked 101 and 102 above the tail of each lock plate, and carved with foliage behind each rear ramrod pipe, and around each barrel tang.

Rounded butts each stamped 16 above an ovoidal steel mount for a shoulder stock. Bevelled brass mounts comprising side plates, fluted butt caps, each engraved No.24 trigger guards each with pointed finial and faceted ramrod pipes. Horn fore end caps, and ramrod tips, retaining much of the original blued and varnished finished. Barrel length 30.5cm, overall length, 46cm.
