An original Colt model 1860 six-shot percussion revolver having a round sighted barrel stamped - ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA - Blued cylinder, brass trigger guard, walnut grips, slightly chipped.

Matching serial numbers of 84649, made in 1862. With shoulder stock stamped US on the brass buttplate and on the underside. Brass body and letters D R stamped into the wooden shoulder stock. In working order.

Barrel Length - 20cm. Overall Length - 37cm Without Shoulder Stock. 69cm With Shoulder Stock.

** - Comes with a certificate indicating a probability it was issued to either the 1st Maryland (US) Volunteer Cavalry or the 2nd Pennsylvania (US) Volunteer Cavalry in 1863. Along a wallet containing some research on both regiments. Both of these cavalry regiments served in the eastern theatre of the war and were present at battles like Gettysburg and the surrender at Appomattox Court House in April 1865.
