Mauser Model 1871/84 11.15x60mm Service Rifle. With regulation sighted barrel, 80cm, with barleycorn foresight and elevating rear sight with flip up short range battle sight. The barrel retained by three bands, the foremost incorporating bayonet lug and the middle with sling swivel, and under barrel tubular magazine with screw cap and stacking hook.
Mauser Model 1871/84 11.15x60mm Service Rifle. With regulation sighted barrel, 80cm, with barleycorn foresight and elevating rear sight with flip up short range battle sight. The barrel retained by three bands, the foremost incorporating bayonet lug and the middle with sling swivel, and under barrel tubular magazine with screw cap and stacking hook. Fully stocked in walnut. Barrel Nocks form with German proof marks and Spandau arsenal mark. Receiver marked with MOD 71/84 to the left hand side and dated 1888 to the right, bolt with matching numbers. Steel furniture comprising barrel bands, trigger guard, butt plate, all marked thoroughly in the German style. Overall length 129cm.
