A 7.5 x 53 Swiss Single Shot Match Rifle, signed Rud Elmer, St. Gallen. Circa 1900, with an 87cm octagonal fluted barrel, overall length 130cm. The barrel having an adjustable fore-sight sliding lengthwise along a short dove-tail, the adjustable rear-sight similarly mounted but on a longer rail, slab-sided receiver signed RUD ELMER on the right in white-metal letters and ST ELMER in a similar fashion on the left. A very good target rifle.

Martini-Braendlin type action, chequered Swiss-style butt-stock with large cheek-piece and heavy crescent butt-plate, finger-spurred and gripped under-lever forming the trigger guard, double set triggers, chequered walnut beavertail fore-end and iron sling swivels. A very good target rifle.
