An antique Pair Of Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistols With Brass Locks By Richards, Strand, London, Circa 1780 With three stage barrels 16.5cm turned and belled at the muzzle and each engraved STRAND LONDON along the breech, border engraved tangs each decorated with foliage, flat bevelled locks each signed in script and with safety catch engaging with the back of the cock.
An antique Pair Of Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistols With Brass Locks By Richards, Strand, London, Circa 1780 With three stage barrels 16.5cm turned and belled at the muzzle and each engraved STRAND LONDON along the breech, border engraved tangs each decorated with foliage, flat bevelled locks each signed in script and with safety catch engaging with the back of the cock, figured full stocks each with rounded flat sided butt, border engraved mounts comprising butt plates each with a flower head centred on the retaining screw, shield shaped vacant escutcheons, trigger guards each with a flower head and foliage on the bow, slotted ramrod-pipes, and original horn tipped ramrods each with steel worm, London proof marks. Overall length 29 1/2cm.
