Pair of 25 Bore German (Hesse) Percussion Pistols by C Delp of Darmstadt, circa 1800, converted from flintlock. With browned sighted barrels, 24cm, formed in two stages. Overall length 36cm. Engraved tangs decorated with foliage and the letter A beneath a coronet. Flush fitting flat locks decorated with sprays of foliage, signed C Delp on one, and Darmstadt on the other.

Engraved tangs decorated with foliage and the letter A beneath a coronet. Flush fitting flat locks decorated with sprays of foliage, signed C Delp on one, and Darmstadt on the other. Respectively figured walnut full stocks, brass mounts cast in low relief including trigger guards and pear shaped pommel caps, each decorated with grotesque caps and horn tipped wooden ramrods. One of the butts with repair by the pommel cap.
The A letter under a coronet indicates these were most likely made for a Hesse nobleman.

Yes, your parcel will need to be signed for. Delivery will be via Parcel Force in the morning. The parcel may not be left without a signature. If you are unavailable to take delivery, Parcel Force will leave a card for you. Simply follow the instructions on the card to arrange redelivery or collection from a depot.
