An unusual pair of Spanish 50 bore percussion officers pistols by FCO. LZO. ECHEVERRIA, Eibar. With brown, two stage barrels, each with roped silver band round the muzzle, and bordering the girdle, the latter each chiselled with acanthus against a punched, gilt, ground. The octagonal breeches and forward sections inlaid with symmetrical engraved silver foliage, issuing from a silver human head on the top flat, and with four gold lined makers punzons.

The octagonal breeches and forward sections inlaid with symmetrical engraved silver foliage, issuing from a silver human head on the top flat, and with four gold lined makers punzons.
Case hardened foliate engraved breeches, each below a silver like and with long tang engraved with guilloche and inlaid with silver foliate scrolls, border engraved back action locks, each inlaid En Eibar, in silver gothic script, within an oval and engraved foliate scrollwork, case hardened hammers, each pierced and chiselled as an officer standing above a monster, his sword and cape forming the hammer nose. Figured full stocks each with rounded butt, chequered on both sides, case hardened foliate scroll engraved mounts comprising pommel caps, each with scalloped shell butt trap cover, trigger guards each with pointed foliate finial, baluster ramrod pipes, and retaining much of the original finish. Barrels 17cm, overall length 33.5cm.
