A Very Rare Irish 40 Bore Percussion Four Barrelled Boxlock Pistol by Wm & John Rigby, Dublin, circa 1829. With turn off barrels, 4.5cm, overall length 17cm. The barrels numbered respectively from 1 to 4, and each engraved with a waved band at the muzzle.
A Very Rare Irish 40 Bore Percussion Four Barrelled Boxlock Pistol by Wm & John Rigby, Dublin, circa 1829. With turn off barrels, 4.5cm, overall length 17cm. The barrels numbered respectively from 1 to 4, and each engraved with a waved band at the muzzle. Border engraved breeches and action decorated with characteristic scrolling foliage, the latter signed in Gothic script on a scroll over each side. The hammer engraved en suite with rotating nose and operating on three bends. Chequered, figured rounded butt, folding trigger, and two vacant silver escutcheons. In good working order.
