A cased continental .30 calibre five-shot percussion Imperial patent revolver with sighted octagonal blued barrel inlaid in gold on the siting flat IMPERIAL PATENT REVOLVER in yellow metal, scallop engraved blued cylinder inlaid in yellow metal with the serial number 6120, border and scroll engraved blued frame with yellow metal highlights and serial no. 6120, blued trigger guard decorated to match, large bag-shaped wooden butt with scalloped ivory cap, contained in its faded red velvet lined close fitted case complete with burnished steel mould, cleaning rod, loading rod, burnished steel wad punch, two blued spare cylinders decorated to match, the two lidded compartments with turned ivory lifters, one containing a combination turnscrew and nipple key. Based on the 1851 Model Adams revolver.
