With browned damascus twist sighted barrels (some old surface patination) each rifled six spiral grooves, matted along the rib at the breech and towards the fore-sight, and signed in full along the rib forward of the folding leaf-sights from 100 to 250 yards, each leaf with central platinum line, long slender border engraved tang decorated with foliate scrollwork, swept fences each engraved with a starburst, the case-hardened rounded action, long-guard rotary under-lever with ring terminal on the serial numbered chequered spur, signed border engraved case-hardened serial numbered detented back-action locks each stamped with lockmakers initials JP on the inside, the mechanisms retaining their burnished finish, and dolphin hammers all decorated en suite, the latter each with blued safety-catch in front, blued chequered steel butt-plate engraved CHARGE over 3 DMS No. 6 POWDER on the heel, highly figured butt with cheek-piece and chequered grip, the latter stamped 512 behind, chequered detachable fore-end with engraved steel mounts, vacant silver escutcheon, and retaining most of its original finish: in oak case fitted and lined in burgundy baize with accessories including steel bullet mould, the interior of the lid with makers trade label (minor damage) with handwritten loading instructions, the exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon centred on a flush-fitting circular brass carrying handle, London proof marks Barrel Length - 76cm. Overall Length - 120cm.
