An 18th Century Turkish or Ottoman Yataghan with 55.5cm fullered curving blade inlaid in silver with a geometric design to one side and a panel of calligraphy to the other. Scroll and foliate embossed brass forte and hilt, two-piece riveted wooden grips, rivets replaced, contained in its brass mounted wooden scabbard. Dated 1716.
