A superb .470 calibre percussion long distance target rifle by John Dickson & Son of Edinburgh having an octagonal barrel with adjustable ladder sight, machined on the top flat.

Signed JOHN DICKSON & SON IMPROVED LONG RANGE RIFLE and 63 PRINCES STREET EDINBURGH. Engraved breach and top tang which also has a creedmoor sight.

Lock beautifully engraved signed JOHN DICKSON & SON, hammer engraved to match. Trigger guard wonderfully engraved to match the lock.

Three steel ramrod pipes, chequered butt plate with engraved patch box reading CITY OF EDINBURGH & MIDLOTHIAN RIFLE ASSOCIATION SPECIALLY PRESENTED BY MESSRS. J. DICKSON & SON TO FORM A SECOND PRIZE TO THE LADYS CUP GAINED BY LIENTENANT WATERSTON NO.9 COMP E.R.V. 19TH OCTOBER 1861.

Stocked in walnut with chequered forend and grip. Original wooden ramrod and vacant escutcheon. One sling swivel in the stock, the other incorporated into the middle ramrod pipe. In good working order.

Delivery of this item to a UK mainland address is £34.90.

The delivery charge may vary if you add other items to your order.

For UK deliveries, if you place your order before 13:00pm, you should receive your order the next working day in the morning via Parcel Force. We do not dispatch guns on a Friday.
