A pair of 25-bore flintlock boxlock turn-off pistols by Brueton, probably Thomas of Birmingham. Circa 1775 with cannon barrels numbered 1 and 2 respectively, breeches numbered to correspond. Border engraved actions each signed within a scroll on both sides. Foliate engraved tangs, sliding trigger-guard safety-catches each engraved with a flower-head on the bow.

Border engraved actions each signed within a scroll on both sides. Foliate engraved tangs, sliding trigger-guard safety-catches each engraved with a flower-head on the bow. Figured swelling butts each decorated with silver wire scrollwork and flowerheads, cast and chased silver mounts comprising foliate escutcheons each engraved with owners monogram above a flower-head, and grotesque mask butt-caps. Tower private proof marks (2).
Barrel Length - 18.5cm. Overall Length - 32cm.
** Thomas Brueton is recorded in Birmingham at 93 High Street between 1769 and 1781 and at Prospect Row between 1775 and 1781.

The delivery charge may vary if you add other items to your order.
For UK deliveries, if you place your order before 13:00pm, you should receive your order the next working day in the morning via Parcel Force. We do not dispatch guns on a Friday.
