A No.7 Privates tool introduced in July 1862 for use with the Pattern 1853 Enfield rifle-musket. This example was made at the Royal Ordnance Factory at Enfeild with markings on the round top, and is in the shape of a T with a screwdriver on one arm and the other arm would hold the worm which is missing. The interior of the body is an oil bottle with round top and dipper. Screwed to the body of the tool is a pricker and the base of the tool is also used as the nipple wrench.
