A piece with a varied and unique history, this started out life as a Model 1816 Harpers Ferry flintlock musket produced in 1823 (date is just visible on the lock plate). The vast majority of these, this one included, were converted to percussion in the years leading up to the American Civil War. At some point after this conversion the stock was cut down and shortened by an unknown individual to take a blunderbuss barrel along with a short wooden ramrod. Overall Length - 60cm. Barrell Length - 26.5cm.

On the reverse side of the stock two military cartouche markings are just about visible. The stock has a few old cracks and splits and all the metalwork and furniture has an even age related patina. An interesting and unusual collectors item. In good working order. Overall Length - 60cm. Barrell Length - 26.5cm.

If you are unavailable to take delivery, Parcel Force will leave a card for you. Simply follow the instructions on the card to arrange redelivery or collection from a depot.
