Details

A rare Bavarian Garniture of Flintlock firearms by John Georg Lauterer of Harburg. The collection comprises of a holster pistol and a pair of 24 bore fowling pieces.


The pistol features a 32.5 barrel of Spanish form with chiselled beaded bands at the breech and at the medial girdle, two gilt brass makers stamps of Lauterer of Rotherburg. The first stamp is crowned tiered inscription LAVT/ERER/A.RO/DENB. The second stamp has an upturned cresent with a star between its points. Brass sight, bevelled plain brass lock signed along the lower edge, the cock engraved with scrolls, fitted with faceted top jaw and the steel faceted ensuite, figured walnut full stock with decorative mouldings in low relief, full brass mounts en suite with the lock, with spurred pommel with demon mask cap case in relief and fitted with an octagonal moulded framework, lock shaped bevelled solid side plate, bevelled trigger guard with a finial formed as a moulded band. Two faceted ramrod pipes, horn forend cap, orginal horn tipped ramrod.
Overall length 50cm.


The fowling pieces each with blued barrels, 101.3cm. Matching that of the pistol and also with makers stamps Lauterer of Rothenburg. Signed locks en suite with the pistol. Figured walnut half stocks carved en suite with a pistol stock. Full brass mounts also matching those of the pistol, each including three ramrod pipes, horn forend caps & with fitted with a horn tipped ramrod.
Overall length 138cm.

How to order a gun that requires a firearm or shotgun license

There are three ways that you can buy a gun from Henry Krank that requires a firearm or shotgun license.

Option one: collect instore

Give us a call on 01132 569 163 / 01132 565 167 to reserve your gun and arrange a date to collect instore. On the day of collection, remember to bring your shotgun or firearms license with you. 

If you do not live near the Henry Krank store, don’t worry. The following two options are available if you are unable to collect your shotgun or firearm from our premises. 

Option two: purchase through your registered firearms dealer

Give us a call on 01132 569 163 / 01132 565 167 to reserve your gun. Then, place your order via your Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD).

Your RFD will contact us to buy the firearm or shotgun on your behalf. You pay your RFD and collect your purchase from them. Remember to take your license with you when visiting your local RFD. 

Option three: purchase from Henry Krank and collect from your local RFD

Give us a call on 01132 569 163 / 01132 565 167 to reserve your gun. Mail us the original copy of your shotgun or firearms license through the post and we will contact you when we receive this to take payment for your item.

Once we have received your license and we have taken payment, you can contact your local Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD) to arrange receipt of the item on your behalf. Once you have done so, we will deliver your gun along with your license to your RFD, where you can pick up your purchase.

Please note that some RFDs may charge a transfer or admin fee for this service. If you are in any doubt, it’s best to give us a call and talk through the process.
