A pair of 32 bore percussion travelling pistols signed Harvey, Exeter, Birmingham proof marks, circa 1830 converted from flintlock, each with browned twist sighted barrel inscribed Exeter on the flat, engraved tang incorporating the back-sight, signed engraved stepped bevelled lock decorated with a sunburst, fitted with bolt-safety and scroll-engraved hammer, figured walnut full stock, chequered butt, engraved blued trigger-guard decorated with a Brittannia trophy on the bow and with pineapple finial, blued ramrod-pipes, vacant silver escutcheon and silver barrel bolt escutcheons, and brass-tipped ramrods.
