A continental 54 bore percussion Du Monthier patent double barrel dagger pistol, mid 19th century. With tapering double edged hollow ground blade, 36cm, with a central fuller over nearly its entire length on each side, and mounted with a barrel, 10cm, over the forte on both sides. The barrel on the left between the proof mark and G, locked quillions, the upper ones chequered and forming the hammers, grip incorporating the folding triggers, rounded diagonally ribbed dark horn grips, and small ring for suspension in original brown leather scabbard with brass locket and shape.
