A 50 bore double barreled boxlock pistol by Perry, London. Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1784, makers mark of Charles Freeth. With turn off brass barrels, 9.8cm, border engraved octagonal breeches numbered 2 and 3 beneath. Border engraved brass action, signed on a roccoco scroll over each side, ring neck cock, engraved sliding trigger guard and safety catch, and rounded butt inlaid with silver wire scrollwork. Rocilles hand pins, silver escutcheon engraved with owners initials, and cast and chased foliate silver butt cap. Tower private proof marks, overall length 27cm.
