German stonebow (Schnepper), early 17th century with slender steel bow 46cm, overall length 70cm. Foresight pillars and folding rear sight. Built in gaffle retained by a spring catch at the rear. Stamped with makers mark. Domed lever terminal, fruitwood tiller retaining some border ornament and iron mounts.
