Percussion rifle by Joseph Whitworth .451 calibre. Barrel 99cm, overall length 140cm. Barrel stamped with ‘No’ and ‘Joseph Whitworth Patent’. Lock stamped ‘Whitworth’ over ‘1858’ and letter ‘W’ beneath a crowned wheatsheaf. Three bands, steel mounts. Fully stocked in figured walnut.
