A rare 160 bore Unwin & Rogers percussion knife pistol. German silver octagonal tapered barrel with Birmingham proofs 9cm, overall length 17cm. Horn action body with two knives, both signed one "self protector", folding trigger, tweezers and ball mould. German silver hinged trap cover. In its original mahogany case lined in red baize, the inside lid leather with lion and unicorn and "BY HER MAJESTY'S ROYAL LETTERS PATENT THE CELEBRATED PISTOL KNIFE, INVENTED AND MANUFACTURED BY UNWIN AND ROGERS". Accessories include Eley cap tin with embossed top, powder flask, brass clearing rod, nipple key and oil bottle.
