Comprising burgonet with one piece skull rising to a high roped medial comb with a slight step in the neck flange, as seen in higher quality Augsburg helmets. ‘Almain’ collar formed of four lames, front and rear with three more at each side extending over the top of the shoulder. Heavy breast plate with medially ridged main plate projecting forward over the belly. Back plate formed in one piece boxed at its centre and each side and fitted with a fauld of one lame. The spaulders each of eight lames extending to adjust over the elbow and each of six lames extending to just above the knees. This armour was made for a man of notably large proportions.
